Alan Shain - Still Waiting for that Special Bus
Ottawa, Ontario
Solo Performance

Still Waiting for that Special Bus is a compelling, semi-autobiographical story that is centered around a guy who simply wants to go out on a date. He has to wait, however, for the Accessible Bus to pick him up. The longer Alan waits for his bus, the more he fantasizes - is she going to be the woman of his dreams or is she going to be the woman of his worst nightmare? There is only one way to find this out, and that requires his bus to show up...

Alan Shain - Smashing Stereotypes
Ottawa, Ontario
Stand-up Comedy

Alan Shain's comedy has attitude, and you won't forget his act very quickly. His disability is obvious and his brand of comedy is unique. Alan uses humor as a rebuff of public attitudes to disability, and attempts to answer burning questions such as "Do wheelchair-people ever go to the bathroom?" You'll probably learn just a little bit more from Alan than you really wanted to know.
