Balancing Acts5 was Calgary's Fifth Annual Disability Arts Festival,
making it the longest-running disability arts festival of it's kind
in the world. Balancing Acts5 showcased Canada's contributions to
the global disability arts movement! The Festival ran from Tuesday,
November 29 through Saturday, December 3, 2005, in the Big Secret
Theatre in the EPCOR Center for Performing Arts. The Festival was
host to eight different live performances, a Fine Arts Gallery,
through which disabled artists showed and sold their work; and a
Closing Night Gala that celebrated the Independent Living Resource
Center's Black and White Campaign. Thanks to all of the local and
visiting artists who made this event so fantastic!
